Koukash critical of displays
Salford Red Devils owner Marwan Koukash has taken to social media to criticise the team's recent performances saying they are not up to scratch.
The new-look Red Devils suffered their third straight defeat on Friday following a 28-12 loss to last year's Grand Finalists Warrington Wolves at the AJ Bell Stadium.
Salford were without the likes of Rangi Chase and Gareth Hock against Tony Smith's men but Koukash insists they cannot use big-name absentees as an excuse.
On-loan winger Dom Manfredi scored a brace of tries on his debut to give Warrington something to think about, although the millionaire racehorse owner says their performance was below average.
Speak his mind
It had been suggested that the out-spoken Koukash keep his comments in-house, especially if they are negative, but he has reiterated that he will always share his views.
"Last night's performance is simply not good enough. Injuries cannot be used as an excuse and will not. We all deserve better results," he wrote on Twitter.
"Warrington is a good team, but cannot be used as an excuse for not performing. They (Salford) were not even average last night.
"Our performances over the last five games have been not good enough and won't pretend otherwise. At the end of the day, I am a fan and want to speak my mind."
