Kuhl rubbishes exit rumours

Reading starlet Aaron Kuhl claims to have no intention of leaving the club as he is linked with a summer switch to Manchester City.

The 18-year-old midfielder has caught the eye at U21 level this season and is said to be drawing admiring glances from a number of a Premier League sides.

A 2million offer from City has been mooted, while others would be expected to join the chase if a bidding war was sparked.

Kuhl, though, claims to be paying little attention to the rumours and insists he would be more than happy to continue his development at the Madejski Stadium.

He told the Reading Post: "It's all just rumours.

"It's good to have rumours like that, getting your name in the paper and getting people to notice you, but I want to stay here.

"I've come through this club, I'm an academy product. I've been here for six or seven years now. This place means everything.

"It's my home basically. I come in every day, live, breathe, eat - I do everything here.

"It's a great club to be around. Everyone is humble and nice to talk to, so it's all good."

Kuhl added: "You get a burst of excitement (when you see the reports) but then you realise you've just got to stay down to earth and don't let anything like that get in your head.

"The boys have all been getting into me a bit, talking about the 2 million price tag, but it's all a bit of banter.

"Nothing is going to change. I'm happy where I am and if I keep going the way I am then hopefully the manager (Nigel Adkins) will take notice. He's put young players in the first team before as you've seen."
