Kuranyi ends Stuttgart rumours

Former Stuttgart and Germany forward Kevin Kuranyi has ruled out a return to the Bundesliga club this summer, saying he is happy to see out the final year on his contract with Dynamo Moscow.

The 32-year-old enjoyed his most successful years in Germany with Stuttgart, winning the Bundesliga in 2007 and appearing in the Champions League with them.

He went on to play for Schalke for five seasons before moving to Russia in 2010.

"All I said was that I could imagine returning to play in the Bundesliga and that Stuttgart feels like home to me and my family and that I will settle there after my career, but I just want to make it clear that I am very happy with Dynamo Moscow," said the forward to Sport1 television.

"It's not an issue for me."

Kuranyi has not ruled out a return to Germany next season, but he has not ruled out staying in Russia either.

"First of all, I'll sit down with Dynamo this winter," he said.

Kuranyi has scored 44 goals in 103 games for the Russian club, who are looking to qualify for the group stage of the Europa League this season.
