St Mirren v Hearts preview

St Mirren have concerns over midfielder Kenny McLean and defender Sean Kelly for the Scottish Premiership clash with Hearts on Sunday.

McLean has a knee problem and Kelly has a shin injury following St Mirren's impressive 4-1 victory over in-form Dundee United on Boxing Day.

The Buddies have secured the services of England U19 striker Adam Campbell from Newcastle, but he is ineligible for the game with Hearts.

Winger Gary Teale (hernia) and defender David Barron (ankle) are both still absent for the home side.

Gary Locke takes Hearts to Paisley with his squad stretched to the limit and morale low after Thursday's 4-0 defeat to Kilmarnock at Tynecastle.

Locke could only name six substitutes for that match with Gary Oliver (ankle), Ryan Stevenson (hamstring), Mark Ridgers (knee) and Jason Holt (foot) all out.

Central defender Danny Wilson has been suffering a shin splints problem but will be required to play through the pain barrier again.

Hearts have not taken anything in their last four league games and remain on minus three at the foot of the table.
