Latics boosted by Moses news

Wigan's Premier League survival prospects have been boosted by the news that Victor Moses has not fractured his jaw.

It was feared that Moses could have suffered a fracture after taking a high foot from Martin Skrtel directly on the jaw during Latics' win at Liverpool on Saturday.

"We got him checked out straight away in the hospital because there was the potential for a fractured bone in his face," said Roberto Martinez.

"The results came back really positive and there was no fracture which allows us to treat him. We will see within the next few days whether he is available on Saturday."

In other injury news, Hugo Rodallega and Mohamed Diame are expected to make quicker-than-expected recoveries.

Martinez added: "Momo had an unfortunate moment at training were he had a little injury to his groin. I don't think it is anything too serious and we are talking about days for recovery rather than weeks which is really positive. Both players are training."
