Leaders Panthers go clear

The Nottingham Panthers moved two points clear of the Belfast Giants at the top of the Elite League with a 3-1 win at the Hull Stingrays.

Matt Francis, debutant Kelsey Wilson and captain Jordan Fox grabbed the goals, ensuring the Panthers will head into tomorrow's top-of-the-table clash with Belfast full of confidence.

The third-placed Sheffield Steelers were also 3-1 winners - against the Dundee Stars.

In other games tonight, the Cardiff Devils thrashed Braehead Clan 5-1 and the fifth-spotted Coventry Blaze saw off the third-bottom Fife Flyers 6-3.
