Leather in hat for Jockey Club

Trading Leather could make his debut in the Godolphin colours in Saturday's Qatar Bloodstock Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket.

Winner of the Irish Derby last season, he remains in the care of Jim Bolger following his private sale at the end of last season.

Godolphin also have the Charlie Appleby-trained pair of Penglai Pavilion and Buckwheat amongst the 12 confirmations.

Ed Dunlop has two contenders in Times Up and Joshua Tree, although the latter was unplaced in Sunday's Prix Ganay at Longchamp.

Marco Botti could also be double-handed with Renew and Kelinni, who is a new recruit from Australia.

Brass Ring, Gospel Choir, Havana Beat, Pether's Moon and Jathabah are the others in contention at this stage.
