Lee leads qualifying school

Lee Dong-hwan hit a stunning fourth round to move to the top of the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament leaderboard in California.

The South Korean replaced compatriot Kim Meen-whee at the summit after shooting an eight-under 64 and leads the way on 19 under with 36 holes remaining.

He had a blemish-free day and hit eight birdies, including five on the back nine.

Kim is two shots back in a chasing pack of four after carding a one-over round today.

He is joined on 17 under by Edward Loar, Vaughn Taylor and Richard H Lee, the latter matching Lee's eight-under score as the best of the day.

Four players are one stroke further back, with seven players tied for 10th on 15 under par.

Sweden's Robert Karlsson and England's Ross Fisher both had poor days and lost their way in their pursuit of a top-25 placing and a 2013 PGA Tour card.

Karlsson was second at the start of the day but recorded two double bogeys on his way to a three over par total of 75, leaving him with a two-way share of 17th overall.

Fisher was even for the day and sits precariously in a tie for 20th.
