Leeds sign Benedicic on loan

Leeds United have confirmed the signing of attacking midfielder Zan Benedicic from AC Milan on a season-long loan deal.

The 18-year old joins the Sky Bet Championship club and will meet up with his new team mates ahead of the new season.

Benedicic, who is yet to make a senior appearance for the Italian giants, has represented Slovenia at Under-21 level after impressing for Milan's under-19s side.

He becomes Leeds' latest acquisition from an Italian club this summer following the arrivals of goalkeeper Marco Silvestri, defender Gaetano Berardi, midfielder Tommaso Bianchi and striker Souleymane Doukara.

United head coach Dave Hockaday told the club's official website: "Zan is a versatile, strong and technical midfield player. He has massive potential and comes highly recommended by AC Milan."
