Highly-rated Sale prop Lee Imiolek has agreed to join Leeds Carnegie on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old has made 26 appearances for the Sharks since making his debut - however he faces increased competition for a place in the Sale front-row.
Imiolek, capped by England Under-20s, will now look to gain valuable game-time with the RFU Championship outfit.
Imiolek told the club's official site: "I am excited to be coming to Leeds Carnegie for the season. The chance to play week to week rugby in the Championship is a great opportunity for me and one that I want to make the most of.
"There were obviously a number of the Sharks lads who were here last season and I spoke to them and they had nothing but good things to say about the club.
"I don't know too much about the Championship but I know there are some tough front rowers in this competition and I am looking forward to testing myself against them.
"Leeds have got a very talented squad, especially in the front row, and I know I will need to be performing at my best in every training session and game to keep my spot but that is a good position to be in."
