Leicester check again

Officials at Leicester will hold a second inspection at 11am ahead of Tuesday afternoon's meeting.

Clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson carried out an initial check at 8am and remains optimistic about their chances of racing after an overnight frost.

He said: "We will have another look at 11am. We dropped to minus three overnight, which was the same as yesterday, but we've escaped the fog.

"There's a bit of a crust on the ground and we're just waiting for the sun to come up. We've got frost sheets down on the shaded areas so we're not worried about that.

"It was like this yesterday and the track was raceable by 11am."
