Leicester forced to abandon
Wednesday's jumps fixture at Leicester has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.
Officials at the course made the relatively straightforward call following a 3.45pm inspection.
Seven millimetres of rain before conditions were assessed put paid to any notion of the meeting going ahead.
Clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson said: "We needed a wrong forecast. I knew the rain was around.
"We got to mid-morning and were OK, then it came down. The forecast is for it to carry on this evening and no let-up tomorrow."
