Leicester held by Preston

Leicester drew 1-1 at Preston on Saturday, with Liam Moore's goal cancelled out by a Tom Clarke header.

The Foxes are still unbeaten in pre-season as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.

Matty James, Jamie Vardy and record-signing Leo Ulloa all started for Nigel Pearson's side at Deepdale.

England Under-21 defender Moore opened the scoring in the 25th minute, volleying home from 15 yards out after Gary Taylor-Fletcher had stretched to keep the ball alive in the box following Paul Konchesky's cross.

However, North End grabbed an equaliser 12 minutes into the second half. Kasper Schmeichel attempted in vain to reach Will Hayhurst's free-kick and Clarke was able to stoop to score at the far post.

Leicester will send teams to contest friendlies at MK Dons on Monday and Rotherham on Tuesday, before concluding their pre-season campaign against Werder Bremen at the King Power Stadium next Saturday.
