Lennie Lawrence could follow Dougie Freedman to Bolton, according to Crystal Palace's co-chairman Steve Parish.
Freedman's expected appointment as manager at The Reebok was finally confirmed on Thursday and Parish admits he may also lose the Scotman's right-hand man.
Assistant coach Lawrence - a former Charlton boss - took over temporary charge along with Curtis Fleming, when Palace faced Barnsley on Tuesday of this week.
And Parish accepts Lawrence may soon be heading north with him, and he told the South London Press: "I know Lennie is just an unbelievably professional bloke that will do a great job for us, up to the point he goes.
"I know it would be a difficult decision but he's become very close to Dougie, they have worked together very closely. So maybe that is what happens."
