Leon Best believes Blackburn must quickly harness a winning mentality if they are to make an instant return to the Premier League.
Rovers boss Steve Kean brought Republic of Ireland international Best to Ewood Park from Newcastle in a deal worth in the region of £3million earlier this month.
And the 25-year-old will call upon his experience when the Magpies made an unexpected one-season stop in the second tier three seasons ago.
He said: "You need to get used to winning, that's what the manager at Newcastle said.
"People are going to come here looking to give extra because we've just come from the Premier League. We're a scalp.
"So you have to put in 110% every game and know what you've got to do. I'm definitely looking forward to it and get the same feeling off the manager."
