Top seed and home favourite Li Na booked her place in the final of the Shenzhen Open with a crushing victory against compatriot Peng Shuai.
The all-Chinese semi-final was anticipated to be a hard-fought affair but in the end became a cruise for world number seven Li, who prevailed in straight sets, 6-4 6-0.
Li's opponent in Saturday's final will be world number 28 Klara Zakopalova of the Czech Republic.
The fifth seed also enjoyed a routine win in the last four, brushing aside Romania's Monica Niculescu 6-1 6-3.
