VIDEO: Ashley Salerno KO's opponent in Lingerie Football League
Apparently there is actually a thing called Lingerie Football. It won't surprise you to learn that this takes place in America and they take it very seriously.
Participants wear push-up bras and knickers along with their helmets and games take place in indoor arenas watched by a braying male audience.
Controversy erupted this week in the LFL, as it's known, when Los Angeles Temptation quarterback Ashley Salerno knocked out Alli Alberts of Chicago Bliss.
After a thunderous shoulder charge which pulverised Alberts, she stood over her floored opponent and roared, "Sit the **** down, b**ch!" Realising she had injured Alberts, she then raised her hands in celebration and makes a triumphant 'sleep' gesture to notify the crowd.
An LFL press release, far from hushing up or apologising for the incident, trumpted: "This proves why Ashley Salerno is the toughest quarterback in the league.
"This hit proves what fans have been saying for the past couple of years, LFL Football is turning into a more physical game than the NFL."
