Liverpool v Norwich preview

Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho is set to return to the starting line-up against Norwich at Anfield on Wednesday after only being fit enough for a place on the bench for Sunday's defeat at Hull.

After conceding three goals for the second successive game, manager Brendan Rodgers is likely to change his defence with Kolo Toure the man who could make way for Daniel Agger, who was dropped at the KC Stadium.

Forward Iago Aspas was an unused substitute at Hull after returning to the squad after injury but, after disappointing performances from Victor Moses and Raheem Sterling, he may get a chance with striker Daniel Sturridge out until next month.

Norwich boss Chris Hughton has no fresh injury concerns for his side's trip to Merseyside following the weekend win over Crystal Palace.

Hughton is set to be without midfielders Anthony Pilkington (hamstring) and Robert Snodgrass (knee), while club-record signing Ricky van Wolfswinkel (toe) has targeted the Swansea game on December 15 for his return.

Elliott Bennett (knee), goalkeeper Mark Bunn and midfielder Alexander Tettey (both ankle) are all still sidelined.
