Llera looking in England

Miguel Llera is hoping to find another club in England following his release by Sheffield Wednesday.

The Spanish centre-half has spent the last eight years working with Charlton Athletic, MK Dons, Blackpool and Wednesday.

He has headed home this summer for a break, but intends to be back for the start of the 2014/15 campaign.

Llera feels he is capable of competing at a Championship level and claims to have already seen interest shown in his services.

He told The Star: "When you have left Spain it is difficult to go back - a lot of clubs there are going into administration.

"It is easier for me to get a club in England.

"I have several options. I have to decide what is best for me.

"I am waiting for news, I don't want to rush. I am looking forward to a new challenge."

Llera believes he is unfortunate not to have been offered fresh terms at Hillsborough, but is excited about opening a new chapter in his career.

The 34-year-old added: "I think I did my job and deserved more credit. All decisions that were taken about me I accepted, even though I did not agree with a lot of them."
