Lomas would like Derry stay
Millwall boss Steve Lomas hopes a deal can be agreed with Queens Park Rangers to keep Shaun Derry at The Den.
The midfielder took in the final game of a one-month loan on Saturday, but has expressed a desire to remain with the Lions long-term.
Millwall would welcome the opportunity to bring the 35-year-old on board, after seeing him deemed surplus to requirements at Loftus Road.
Lomas feels certain members of his squad have gone 'stale' and feels the recruitment of players such as Derry would help to breathe new life into his Championship outfit.
He said in the Daily Mirror: "It has been great to have Shaun around the club for the last month - both on and off the pitch.
"He has been there and seen it all - when things are going well and in tougher times like this - so he knows how to deal with situations and help a squad.
"Of course I'd like him to stay. Hopefully we can keep him here."
