Lyon aim to get back on track
Remi Garde looks to get his Lyon's Ligue 1 challenge back on track at home to Brest on Sunday unconcerned by rumours over the future of Lisandro Lopez.
Lopez, who is currently in talks over a new contract extension, has been attracting interest from other clubs including Fiorentina, and is thought to be unhappy over some of Garde's tactics during this campaign.
Garde said: "I'm not surprised there are clubs interested in Lisandro. But what interests me is the performance of the team and the well-being of the maximum number of players in my group.
"I am well aware that the best job for Lisandro is not necessarily on the left. But I also know that the good of the team rests on key players like him, so it is for me to find solutions by talking to him."
Lyon go into the game having lost ground on the leaders in recent weeks. Their draw with Lorient before the international break extended their winless league run to three having previously lost at home to Bordeaux and drawn at Lille.
Lyon's form will give hope to 12th placed Brest, who bounced back from a loss at Ajaccio to secure a home draw with Bordeaux in their most recent outing, and coach Landry Chauvin wants more of the same.
Chauvin said: "If we go there thinking they are stronger individually and collectively we might as well not bother. I think we can cause them problems if we keep the same mindset we had against Bordeaux, and defend just as well."
