Mackay snubs Forest approach
Malky Mackay has ruled himself out of the running for the managerial vacancy at Nottingham Forest.
Earlier this week the former Cardiff City boss was named on a three-man shortlist by Forest owner Fawaz Al Hasawi, alongside Steve Clarke and Gianfranco Zola.
But Sky Sports sources understand the ex-Celtic, Norwich and West Ham defender, who was controversially sacked by Cardiff in January, is not interested in the position.
Al Hasawi, who is also chairman at the City Ground, has already been turned down by former Leeds boss Neil Warnock and club legend Stuart Pearce after talks were held over a replacement for the sacked Billy Davies.
Gary Brazil is in caretaker charge of Forest, who are currently seventh in the Sky Bet Championship, two points outside the play-off places.
