Maitland misses England clash
Scotland will be without winger Sean Maitland for the Calcutta Cup clash with England at Murrayfield on Saturday.
Maitland was injured in the 28-6 defeat by Ireland on Sunday, suffering a concussion as well as hurting his right leg as the Scots lost their opening fixture in the Six Nations.
His place in the side could go to Max Evans, who replaced him at the Aviva Stadium, when coach Scott Johnson names his side on Wednesday.
Scottish Rugby's head of medical performance Paul McGinley said: "He will be subject to further investigation at Spire Murrayfield hospital and will be assessed later by consultant surgeon Graham Lawson.
"We also have a number of injuries at this juncture which will impact on availability to train at the start of this week but we are optimistic that players will recover in time for the England game."
