Man Utd v Stoke City preview
Robin van Persie "should be okay" to feature for Manchester United against Stoke at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Groin and toe injuries kept the striker out of Wednesday's Champions League victory over Real Sociedad, but he has trained since and is in contention for the weekend.
David Moyes said: "Robin has a good chance. He had a problem with his toes and a little bit with his groin. But he has had a little bit of training as well and he should be okay."
Moyes, still without Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley, has Marouane Fellaini and Adnan Januzaj ready to come back in.
Shinji Kagawa could make way for Januzaj on the left flank, while Fellaini is expected to partner Carrick in central midfield.
Ryan Shawcross and defender Geoff Cameron are Stoke's major doubts.
Skipper Shawcross has not trained all week due to illness, whilst Cameron missed last week's draw with West Brom after picking up a calf injury.
Hughes' men are looking to improve the paltry tally of four goals scored but Stoke have not won at Old Trafford since 1976 and have lost on their last 10 visits.
