Marchisio focused on Juventus

Claudio Marchisio's agent says the Juventus midfielder is focusing on his football ahead of talk about a new contract.

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United among others in recent transfer windows, but has remained committed to the Serie A side.

Liverpool and Arsenal have also previously been reported to be monitoring the Italy international.

Marchisio has another two years running on his current deal in Turin and his agent and father Stefano Marchisio insists that a new contract is not a concern at the moment.

"I've read that the renewal should be imminent, but Claudio is focused on the season and doesn't think about the contract," he told calciomercato.it.

"The current agreement expires in 2016 and there is time for talk about it. Claudio has always repeated that his dream is to continue to wear the Juventus jersey and possibly close his career here.

"Marriages are made in two and when the time comes we'll talk with the Juventus owners."

Speaking of interest from England, he said: "Sometimes I have received phone calls from agents who told me of the interest of clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.

"But no one from these clubs, however, has never contacted directly us. And in case I would tell them to talk to Juve."
