Market Rasen's National Hunt meeting on Thursday will need to pass an early inspection at noon on Tuesday.
The course is currently covered by a thin lower of snow and more is forecast. Also, temperatures are set to dip below freezing overnight compounding matters.
Michael Prosser, regional head of racing for the east for Jockey Club Racecourses, is overseeing matters.
He said: "They had snow for a couple of hours and there is an inch lying on the ground at present.
"The forecast is for frost over the next three nights and low temperatures, so the plan is to make an assessment at midday and re-evaluate the weather forecast."
