Maroons v Blues: Teams

The New South Wales Blues will head into the final match of the 2014 State of Origin targeting their first clean sweep over Queensland in 14 years.

A 6-4 victory over the Maroons in Sydney sealed their first series success since 2005.

And now Laurie Daley's side will look to emulate the class of 2000 by shutting out their bitter rivals.

However NSW hooker and vice-captain Robbie Farah is expecting the hardest match of the series so far.

"No way they'll want to lose 3-0," Farah said. "Everyone is talking about how their run is over but they'll have a point to prove."

Having been the dominant force in the series for so long, Queensland have been stung by the back-to-back defeats - and their aim is to now hit back in Brisbane on Wednesday.

"All we have is this third game," said Queensland backrower Sam Thaiday.

"It's our vision going forward ... to win this third game and get a bit of pride back and re-focus for next year when it's our turn to chase.

"Yes, the streak is over but this team and what we've built is nowhere near dead."
