Mason hails City strikers
Joe Mason has paid tribute to the work of his strike partners for helping him make a major impact with Cardiff this term.
Mason, who arrived in south Wales from Plymouth last summer, has enjoyed a break-out campaign with Malky Mackay's side. As well as netting in the Carling Cup final against Liverpool at Wembley, Mason has registered another 11 goals to become a cult hero on the terraces.
But the 20-year-old claims fellow forwards Miller, Rudy Gestede and Robert Earnshaw deserve credit for their efforts in settling him into the team.
He told Wales Online: "All the guys have helped me through this first season. Kenny, Earnie and Rudy have all been great, along with all the experienced players.
"I didn't think I would do as well as I have this season or play as much as I have. But my confidence is high and I feel at times I am playing my best football.
"Kenny has played a big part for me this season - and I owe him a lot. Watch closely when we play together and he is talking to me all the time, helping me adapt to situations. That means such a lot to me and is a big reason why I have done reasonably well so far."
