
Mick McCarthy has reportdly been installed as the new manager of Ipswich Town.
Sky Sports claimed on Wednesday night that McCarthy has been asked to steer the Tractor Boys away from danger.
The Irishman is set to take over the hot seat at Portman Road following Ipswich's deadful start to the season.
The East Anglia club are bottom of the Championship table having recorded just one win in 13 matches and have compiled just seven points.
McCarthy will replace Paul Jewell, who resigned last week.
His most recent role in the game was as manager of Wolves who were relegated from the Premier League last season.
