McGoldrick and James charged

Castleford's Ryan McGoldrick and Wakefield's Matt James will appear before the RFL's disciplinary committee on Wednesday.

McGoldrick is facing a grade B offence of striking Widnes forward Steve Pickersgill with his forearm or elbow during the Tigers' 36-12 win over the Vikings at the Probiz Coliseum on Monday, while James is accused of using his elbow on St Helens forward Carl Forster during his side's 38-12 defeat at Langtree Park last Friday.

Neither player is eligible to take an early-guilty plea so will be facing a suspension of up two matches if found guilty.

They were charged by the RFL's match-review panel, which issued formal cautions to London Broncos winger Kieron Dixon, Leeds centre Carl Ablett (Leeds), Hull second rower Willie Manu and Salford stand-off Daniel Holdsworth.
