McShane cleared for Leeds clash
Wakefield hooker Paul McShane has been cleared to face his former club Leeds in the fourth round of the Challenge Cup on Sunday.
McShane was ordered to face the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee after being charged with a grade C offence of making dangerous contact with Hull KR forward Rhys Lovegrove during the Wildcats' 44-6 Super League defeat at Craven Park on Sunday.
The 24-year-old McShane has been ever-present since joining Wakefield from Leeds in the close season and is now free to face his old team-mates on consecutive weekends, with the Wildcats going to Headingley for a Super League game on Friday week.
Bradford second rower Tom Olbison will miss his side's Cup-tie against Oldham on Sunday after being found guilty of a dangerous tackle on Widnes forward Danny Tickle in Sunday's 22-18 defeat by the Vikings.
Olbison was eligible to submit an early-guilty plea but opted to fight his case and he was given a one-match ban and a £300 fine after the committee downgraded the charge from C to B.
