Meulensteen coy on Berbatov

Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen insists there is 'no indication' that Dimitar Berbatov could leave Craven Cottage in January.

With the transfer window open, there have been several rumours linking the Bulgarian striker with a move.

Earlier in the season, reports emerged quoting Berbatov's agent, claiming he was looking to leave Fulham when the window opened.

A spate of injuries has hit fellow London club Arsenal and recently the forward has been linked with a move to join Arsene Wenger's title bid.

However, despite speculation being rife, Meulensteen claims he has not opened any discussions which could see Berbatov leave Craven Cottage.

"No, no indication at this moment," he told Sky Sports.

While remaining coy on the future of Berbatov, Meulensteen also kept quiet on his plans for January activity, but admits he may well look to strengthen his squad.

"It is a possibility," he added. "The January transfer window is there to strengthen.

"It is just making sure you look at what is available and look at the players you know will definitely strengthen the team."
