Manchester City defender Micah Richards is not expecting an easy ride when the Premier League champions bid to retain their title.
It has been suggested City's first title success since 1968 could spark a period of dominance for the big-spending club.
But right-back Richards, currently training with Team GB ahead of the Olympics, does not expect them to stroll to another trophy next term and believes up to five other clubs could be challenging for the gong.
"I don't think it's going to be easy," he told Sky Sports. "People say we're going to go and walk the title but I don't think that's the case.
"I see everyone as big threats really. Obviously Spurs have got a new manager and players will be going there to improve and show people what they can do. Manchester United as usual, Chelsea have spent some decent money in the summer, so they'll be looking. Arsenal always are about and Liverpool."
Richards' immediate focus is performing for Great Britain at the Games and the 24-year-old is relishing the opportunity after missing out on a spot in Roy Hodgson's England squad for Euro 2012.
He added: "I don't feel I have a point to prove. I wasn't picked in the squad. I won't dwell on that.
"When I had a chance to come and join Team GB it was an honour for me to do that.
"Obviously players are going to be disappointed not to go to the Euros, but once I got the chance with GB, it's going to be amazing and it's time to show everyone what I can do."
