Rotherham's League Two clash with Accrington at Don Valley next Tuesday is already in doubt due to the ongoing cold weather.
The Millers saw Saturday's visit of Torquay fall victim to a frozen pitch and after heavy snowfall and continued freezing temperatures, the playing surface is yet to thaw out.
"We are concerned about next Tuesday as the forecast is still not great," chief operating officer Paul Douglas told the club's official website. "We have still got snow on the covers at Don Valley but once the snow has melted we will get the covers off and give the pitch some air.
"But the forecast for the next few nights here is to be cold so we don't want to leave it too exposed.
"We don't want to be creating any more games than we need to. We are a little bit worried, but we are hopeful it will go ahead."
Meanwhile Douglas is confident Friday's trip to Southend will go ahead, adding: "We have been in touch with Southend and while the forecast isn't great, it seems that things will improve from Thursday onwards."
