York boss Gary Mills was a proud man after his players sealed their first win in four games with a 3-2 triumph over Dagenham on Saturday.
The Minstermen had previously failed to score in four successive games at Bootham Crescent, but a brace from Ashley Chambers and a second half strike from Matty Blair but an end to that record in the League Two encounter at Bootham Crescent.
"I thought we deserved the win, we were the better side", said Mills.
"We managed to get our noses in front and we've scored three goals at home and that has been coming. We'll be disappointed we've conceded two but you'll not see a lot of strikes like that for their second week in, week out.
"We've got three points, it's fantastic. We've threatened to match our away form at home on occasions and we could have quite easily have done that three or four times, but we've managed it. We deserved it. The lads have worked tirelessly against a side that have been in good form.
"We're all happy, we're all smiling and we'll enjoy tonight and then we'll get ready for the next game."
