Minstermen boss happy with draw

York boss Gary Mills was very pleased to pick up a point as his side held Rotherham to a goalless draw at Bootham Crescent on Saturday.

Minstermen duo Ashley Chambers and Jason Walker both squandered good openings for the hosts in the League Two encounter, with the former striking the post in the dying seconds.

"We've showed it's a tough league with good sides in here", said Mills.

"Rotherham are one of the favourites to get promoted this season and we've done well to get a 0-0 at home. When you have games like this you have to be strong and wait for an opening.

"I'm absolutely delighted with my boys again. I can't tell you how happy I am with them. Another club have come here, I don't think at this moment in time anybody is better than us, we've played a lot of teams now and no one has really stuck out and say to me as a manager that I have a lot of work to do because there's a big difference between League Two and where we were last season.

"It's another good point for us, another clean sheet. It's disappointing that we haven't scored now for two games because that's unusual for us but we'll get ready for the cup game on Tuesday."
