Miyazato eases to Hawaii win

Ai Miyazato recovered from a mid-round blip to win the LPGA Lotte Championship in Hawaii by four strokes.

The 26-year-old birdied three of her last six holes to finish on 12 under and claim her eight LPGA Tour event crown at a windy Ko Olina.

Miyazato started the day three shots clear but relinquished the lead to Meena Lee after she bogeyed the par-three 12th for the second successive day.

But Lee fell back level soon after when she three-putted the 14th for bogey before Miyazato took control again with a 30-foot birdie putt from the fringe on 15.

The Japanese remained cool with the putter in hand and when Lee double-bogeyed the 18th she rolled in a 25-footer on 17 to ensure a comfortable stroll up the last.

Miyazato finished off to complete a two-under-par round of 70 while Lee, who carded the same score on Saturday, slipped back to finish in a tie for second with Spain's Azahara Munoz.
