Yovani Gallardo moved to 7-0 lifetime against the Diamondbacks as the Milwaukee Brewers downed Arizona 4-1 at Chase Field.
The San Diego Padres scored four in the seventh innings on their way to defeating the Seattle Mariners 4-1, Chris Johnson drove in three runs as the Atlanta Braves beat the Washington Nationals 3-0 and David Wright homered to secure the New York Mets their 1-0 win over the Miami Marlins.
Elsewhere, the St Louis Cardinals lost 4-1 to the Philadelphia Phillies, the Oakland Athletics inflicted a 4-2 defeat on the Boston Red Sox and the Chicago White Sox lost 4-2 to the Minnesota Twins.
