Moore targets winning run

Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore has called on his side to string a run of results together as they bid to avoid the drop.

Rovers moved up to 17th in Sky Bet League One last weekend with a 1-0 win at MK Dons but have yet to record back-to-back victories this season.

Moore wants Tranmere, sat just four points above the relegation zone, to break their duck when they entertain Preston on Saturday.

"We've got a decent squad of players now but we can't just go to MK Dons and win and then end up getting beaten again. We've got to be more consistent, that's the thing that's lacking with us," Moore told the club's official website.

"We've got to be more consistent and have that belief. The games coming up aren't easy. Preston are in a great position going for automatic and it will be another tough game."
