Morgan rues wasteful Blades

Coach Chris Morgan bemoaned Sheffield United's profligacy in front of goal after their 1-1 draw at home to Notts County.

Dave Kitson marked his full home debut with a goal five minutes after the break when he met Ryan Flynn's cross with a header.

But substitute Lee Hughes grabbed an equaliser, tapping in at the far post from Jeff Hughes' ball across the face of goal.

Morgan said: "We're pleased with a lot of things such as the way we started the game and the application of the players but we could and should have been better in front of goal.

"The frustration from the game is that we had enough chances in front of goal to win the game. We didn't kill the game off.

"When you're playing against a team like Notts County, who've started the season off really well, you know that they're always going to get a chance in the game. Unfortunately for us, there were a couple of scruffy clearances, the ball dropped on top of the bar and finds its way back to Lee Hughes."
