Wizz Kid will have a new jockey on board when she attempts to go one better in the Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.
The bang in-form Gerald Mosse has struck up a good relationship with Robert Collet's filly, who came from the clouds to collar Mayson in the Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp on Arc day.
However, with Mosse, who had Group One winners in England and Canada last weekend, required in Australia for the Caulfield Cup, a cracking spare ride is now up for grabs.
"She's likely to run at Ascot this weekend," said John O'Connor, managing director of her owners, Ballylinch Stud.
"She's come out of the Prix de l'Abbaye in cracking form and the fact she does not have to carry a Group One penalty in the race was one of the deciding factors.
"Last year she ran very well in it, she just failed to catch Deacon Blues.
"She can handle most ground, she's good on quick but also handles soft, so that's not an issue.
"Gerald isn't available this weekend unfortunately. He wanted to ride her but he's in Australia. We haven't firmed up he rides yet but Robert is in discussions with several big-name jockeys and one of them will be on board."
