Moxey hoping to be back fit

Dean Moxey is hoping to be fit and in contention for a starting place in Crystal Palace's next Barclays Premier League game against Chelsea.

Moxey had been a regular figure in the starting line-up for Palace this season, along with only two other players, Julian Speroni and captain Mile Jedinak, starting in every game.

The full-back had a scan on Tuesday on the hamstring injury that forced him off during the first half of Palace's 2-0 win over Cardiff City.

He told cpfc.co.uk: "I've had a scan this morning so it's just about waiting for the results now. Obviously, Chelsea is one of the games you look forward to at the start of the season, so I just want to be back."

Moxey feels that the squad will take plenty of confidence into that game after a commanding performance against the Bluebirds at the weekend.

"From start to finish I think we dominated the game," he said.

"We could have scored a few more goals as well. I think the boys are slowly getting used to what the manager wants and it's turning round."
