Moxey pleased by Bolton move

New Bolton signing Dean Moxey is looking forward to working under Dougie Freedman once more after completing his move from Crystal Palace.

The full-back played under Freedman and his coaching staff for Palace, before the former Eagles striker left Selhurst Park for Wanderers in October 2012.

And Moxey is excited to get the chance to work under the manager once again.

The 28-year-old told Bolton's official website: "I do know the manager from our time at Crystal Palace - I think I was his first signing there. I really enjoyed working under the manager, Lennie (Lawrence) and Curtis (Fleming) at Palace.

"There were a few other clubs interested in me, but I just felt like Bolton was the right move for me.

"We were also looking at the possibility of me coming up here last January, but Palace didn't want to let me go out.

"But now, it's great to finally get the move sorted and to sign on the dotted line."

Moxey is keen to get to know his new team-mates as the Sky Bet Championship club fly away on a pre-season tour.

He added: "I don't know many of the players personally, but the trip to Scandinavia should be a good opportunity to get away with the lads and to get to know them a bit more.

"It's really good to have the deal done at this stage. It gives me chance to get to know the lads and the way they like to play.

"Fingers crossed I can keep myself fit and get a really good pre-season under my belt."
