Muller stays out in front

Yvan Muller maintained his lead at the head of the World Touring Car Championship standings with victory in race one at the Hungaroring.

The Frenchman led home a Chevrolet podium clean-sweep, with Rob Huff and Alain Menu in second and third respectively.

In race two, Norbert Michelisz gave the Hungarian fans something to cheer as he claimed his second WTCC victory at the wheel of his BMW.

The Zengo Motorsport driver enjoyed a brilliant start, passing four cars to lead on the first lap.

Menu took second place for Chevrolet, with Mehdi Bennani in third.

Muller, meanwhile, made a mistake on the final lap that dropped him from sixth to eighth at the chequered flag.

Sunday's results mean Muller leads the championship on 180 points, 23 clear of Menu and 30 clear of Huff.
