Mullins quintet in Supreme mix

Willie Mullins holds a very strong hand in the Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle, with five of the remaining 29 entries in the race.

They are headed by Vautour, the likely mount of Ruby Walsh, with Faugheen, Wicklow Brave, Valseur Lido and Renneti still possible runners for the Closutton maestro.

A formidable challenge from Ireland could be strengthened by Enda Bolger's Gilgamboa, the impressive Hurdle winner, and Pat Fahy's Western Boy.

The Paul Nicholls-trained Irving has looked classy in maintaining his unbeaten record over hurdles and could be joined by stablemate Lac Fontana, an entry in Saturday's Imperial Cup at Sandown.

Nicky Henderson has two strong candidates in Josses Hill and Vaniteux, with the latter a late entry to the party.

Betfair Hurdle winner Splash Of Ginge runs in this rather than a handicap, with Sgt Reckless in the mix for Mick Channon.

Un Ace, Wilde Blue Yonder, The Liquidator and Philip Hobbs' duo of Garde La Victoire and Cheltenian remain involved.

The most notable withdrawals were First Mohican and Vieux Lion Rouge.
