Jamie Murray and partner Andre Sa edged past second seeds Santiago Gonzalez and Scott Lipsky in the Thailand Open first round in Bangkok.
There was little to choose between the teams, with Murray and Sa being marginally more successful at taking advantage of their break points to secure a 6-4 3-6 10-7 victory in just over 90 minutes.
It was their first match win as a team. Murray, 26, finished runner-up in 2006 with his brother Andy.
