Myung-bo proud of his players

South Korea coach Hong Myung-bo admitted he was proud of his players, after their World Cup campaign came to an end with defeat to Belgium.

Jan Vertonghen's goal 12 minutes from time was enough to give Belgium the win and end South Korea's hopes of progression.

Myung-bo was full of praise for the effort of his players, as he took responsibility for their campaign.

"My players gave everything they had. They made some mistakes, but also produced a lot of good things," he said.

"We played pretty well overall, creating chances on the counter-attack.

"The nature of the match changed after Belgium had a man sent off. We probably held onto the ball for too long in midfield. I take responsibility for the result."

On his own future he added: "I've done my best - my World Cup objective was to not have any regrets at the end. I'm going to take a little bit more time before deciding on my future."
