Nantes handed transfer ban

Nantes have been banned from signing new players in the next two transfer windows after breaking rules over the signing of Ismael Bangoura.

Ligue 2 club Nantes have been banned from signing new players in the next two transfer windows after breaking rules over the signing last year of Guinea striker Ismael Bangoura from Al Nasr Sports Club of Dubai.

Bangoura, currently on loan at Qatar club Umm Salal, has also been banned for four months, three of which he has already served.

Bangoura and Nantes have also been found jointly liable to pay Al Nasr compensation of 4.5million euros over breach of contract.

The FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber's decision, which was notified to all parties on Friday, ruled Ligue 2 leaders Nantes had induced Bangoura to break his contract with Al Nasr.
