Napoli denied at the death
Napoli were denied victory by a last-gasp strike from Genoa substitute Emanuele Calaio and Parma and Fiorentina shared four goals and three red cards in an action-packed 2-2 Serie A draw.
Calaio grabbed a late equaliser to deny his former club Napoli their third straight win on Monday evening.
The hosts looked to be heading for their 16th victory of the campaign after Gonzalo Higuain had put them ahead in the 18th minute with a left-foot shot inside the far post.
Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin put in a solid performance in goal to keep the visitors in the game, however, and then Calaio snatched a point for his team with a superb free-kick six minutes from time.
The outcome saw third-placed Napoli remain six points clear of fourth-spotted Fiorentina, who were held to a 2-2 draw at Parma earlier on Monday, and extended 11th-placed Genoa's unbeaten run to three games.
Parma and Fiorentina shared four goals and three red cards in an action-packed 2-2 draw at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
After weathering an early storm, Parma took the lead through Antonio Cassano in the 39th minute, but Juan Cuadrado levelled almost immediately.
Amauri put Parma in front once again before Viola defender Modibo Diakite was sent off.
Mati Fernandez levelled for the visitors five minutes from time before Gianni Munari and Borja Valero were dismissed in a tense finale.
