Nene: PSG must improve
Paris Saint Germain winger Nene knows improvements must be made upon his side's return to Ligue 1 competition after the cash-rich capital side slipped to their second home defeat against Rennes last weekend.
PSG qualified for the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League with a 2-0 win over Dynamo Kiev on Wednesday night, but their latest domestic loss saw boss Carlo Ancelotti say the club were in crisis.
Nene, who equalised against Rennes in that match before Julien Feret gave the nine-man visitors a 2-1 win at the Parc des Princes, says he understands why Ancelotti reacted so strongly.
"It's normal for the coach to be angry after such a match. We let it slip away," Nene told www.ligue1.fr.
"We know we have to improve things. The coach talked a lot to us. We weren't very organised, we have to follow his instructions. That's what he told us.
"We have to be competitive at all times. To understand what we didn't do well, to try and help out team-mates and show everyone that we're focused on what we're doing."
Ancelotti looks set to keep the same side that beat Dynamo Kiev in the Ukraine although Javier Pastore could return from the bench in the place of Nene and Mamadou Sakho is available after returning from suspension.
A win for third-place PSG could see them regain top spot if Lyon and Bordeaux both slip up, while Troyes, who are one place above bottom side Nancy, would close the gap on third-bottom Evian.
Midfielder Fabien Camus, on loan at Troyes from Racing Genk, could replace on-loan PSG midfielder Jean-Christophe Bahebeck while Zlatan Ibrahimovic could feature for PSG in his first Ligue 1 game since his red card against St Etienne.
